Navigational and GPS Charting

Welcome to Navigational and GPS Charting! (4 hour class)

Whether you're a seasoned boater or just dipping your toes into navigation, this event is perfect for learning more about charting your course with GPS. Our expert instructors will guide you through the ins and outs of navigation tools, so you can navigate the (inland) seas with confidence. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to enhance your boating skills! Class will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5 - 9 pm.

Students will learn how to interpret a nautical chart and navigate on the Great Lakes using basic coastal piloting techniques. You will also learn about basic GPS and navigational skills, and how to use computer electronic charts. Plotting tools and iPads will be provided for use during the class. Preregister by October 22 and cost is $22.85 ($20 + $2.85 Eventbrite fees). Class size is limited to a maximum of 20 students.
