Navigating Transitions: Protecting Your Wishes – Wills, Powers of Attorney & Advance Care Planning

Thursday, October 8, 2026 | 12:30–2:30 PM
Parkgate Community Centre - Multipurpose Room

Join the North Shore Keep Well Society for the third workshop in our Navigating Transitions series—a series of interactive workshops created by and for seniors to support healthy aging, independence, connection, and well-being.

Planning ahead can help ensure that your wishes are understood and respected, while making difficult decisions easier for you and your loved ones. This workshop will introduce important legal and planning tools that can support decision-making and provide greater peace of mind.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Wills and estate planning basics
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Representation Agreements
  • Advance Care Planning
  • Executor responsibilities
  • Common legal mistakes and misconceptions
  • When to seek legal advice

The Navigating Transitions series takes a holistic approach to aging, recognizing that navigating later life can involve many different transitions and decisions. This workshop is part of a five-part series. See the upcoming workshops below and click the links to register for each session.

The North Shore Keep Well Society has been supporting older adults on the North Shore for decades, helping seniors overcome barriers to healthy, active, and connected lives through accessible wellness programs, health education, volunteer support, and social connection.

This project was developed with the insight and leadership of older adult volunteers who identified the need for greater access to information, resources, and meaningful opportunities for connection.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the New Horizons for Seniors Program, which helps make this initiative possible.

Come join us for an afternoon of learning, conversation, and connection. Everyone is welcome at this FREE workshop!

Light refreshments provided.
