Creative Sectors is a series of events to help build connections between Edinburgh’s creative community, organisations and venues.
About this Event

This event is in partnership with Business Gateway and Stills.

PLEASE NOTE:

Creative Sectors is a free event for all Creative Edinburgh members. If you’re not a member yet, you’re absolutely welcome to join us - and we’d love to have you. To support the community, please consider or Pay What You Can to help keep events like this accessible for everyone.

  • This is a strictly limited capacity event

Join us on Wednesday 26 August at 5:30pm for a timely and thought-provoking discussion exploring the role of photography sector in Scotland.

As the broader visual arts landscape shifts, we’ll interrogate how photographers shape public perceptions of culture and the arts, and the power they hold in spotlighting vital stories and voices.

What does the future look like for freelance photographers and galleries? How to navigate the sector and benefit from existing support?

This event brings together freelance photographers and photography experts from both national and local organisations that champion photography to reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector today.

Whether you’re a photographer, freelance artist, reader, or cultural worker, come and be part of the conversation!
