Come & Grow:
In a culture marked by increasing polarization, many of us find ourselves navigating difficult conversations with family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and fellow believers. This workshop is not about how to vote or which political viewpoints to hold. Rather, it is an opportunity to learn how we, as followers of Jesus, can engage those who see the world differently, find common ground, while also speaking our truth in love.
Drawing on social science research, Christian theology, Scripture, discussion, and practical application, Navigating the Divide explores how polarization takes hold in our communities and within ourselves. Together, we will examine how our identities shape our perspectives and discover practices that can help cultivate healthier, more Christ-centered relationships.
During our time together, we will:
Explore the dynamics of political polarization and why it has become so difficult to disagree well
Reflect on our own experiences, assumptions, and political identities through a Christian lens
Engage in meaningful conversation and practical exercises
Develop habits and practices that foster healthier dialogue and deeper understanding
Jesus calls His followers to be people of both truth and grace. Our prayer is that this workshop will equip us to be peacemakers, thoughtful listeners, and faithful witnesses in a divided world.
