About this Event
Most adults say that talking to their loved ones about end-of-life is important, but few have actually had these conversations. Talking about these things with your loved ones is hard, but having these conversations helps prepare for the journey ahead and relieves the decision-making burden in your time of grief.
This workshop is designed to empower carers with the skills and confidence to navigate these sensitive conversations with loved ones about making preparations for end-of-life. Topics include power of attorney, enduring guardianship, and other essential matters. Explore practical strategies, tips and techniques to approach these conversations with empathy and clarity. Light refreshments will also be provided.
To be eligible to participate, you must;
- Be a carer*
- Be a resident living in South-Western Sydney or Nepean Blue Mountains regions
- Be registered with Carer Gateway (we can assist with registration if you are not yet registered)
*A carer is anyone who provides care, support or assistance for a family member, friend or loved one with a long-term illness or disability.
