Biographies

Karl George MBE

Karl George MBE is a globally recognised authority on governance and AI, and the founder and Managing Director of The Governance Forum and Governance AI. An accountant by training and a former Partner at RSM UK, he's spent over 30 years advising boards and senior leaders across the private, public and voluntary sectors, with work spanning the UK, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

He's an experienced non-executive director, a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, a visiting professor at Birmingham City University, and the author of Governance 3.0, The Effective Board Member, and his latest book, Reset Revolution: The Directors' Guide to Governing Intelligence.

Karl treats AI as a board-level question of leadership, risk, ethics and accountability, not a technology problem. His sessions are practical, honest about the pitfalls, and designed to leave people thinking differently about the choices in front of them.

Alex Zarifeh

Alex Zarifeh, shortlisted for EduFuturist of the Year 2026, is the Founder of ATLP Futures Readiness, a non-profit, helping in excess of 45,000 young people and educators, navigate the AI revolution through fortnightly interactive resources.

Poonam Rajput

Poonam is an Education Lead for the West Midlands at Code Your Future, a UK-based non-profit organisation that trains disadvantaged people to gain the skills needed to secure meaningful employment in tech.

Fiona Joseph - Bio

Fiona Joseph is an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion leader, workplace culture specialist and systems thinker. Fiona is also a writer and trustee of Rebel Punkworx, and is fascinated by how AI is reshaping creativity, learning and the arts.
