Are you supporting a teenager with intellectual or developmental disabilities? Do you have a loved one preparing for adulthood?
Please join us for a wonderful evening of learning and connection. You will hear from a panel of parents and siblings who have loved ones with I/DD that have made that transition into adulthood.
Panelists will discuss four major service systems that can be utilized for adults with disabilities:
- SSI & SSDI (Social Security)
- Medicaid & Medicare
- Guardianship & Alternatives
- Waiver Services
Every family's story is different, but we hope that hearing from local people who have navigated these complicated paths will inspire you to think about the future and start planning!
