An Evening of Soulful Storytelling - NATYA TARANGINI.

SAGA Celebrations presents Natya Tarangini - a celebration of Bharatnatyam by Dr.Srishti Budhori Sharma. It is not just a recital, its an immersive cultural experience which brings together the precision of Bharatnatyam and soul of classical music to tell timeless stories.

Experience the magic of live violin, mridangam and ghatam, where every rhythm breathes expression. At the heart of the live performance is a dynamic synergy between the dancer and the musicians. They do not just play background music but they breathe together with the artist.

Call and Response: The violinist and percussionists lead, setting the musical framework, while the dancers interprets this with intricate footwork (jathis) and spacial geometry.

Impulsive Cadence: The musician guides the pacing with rhythmic syllables allowing the dancer to aligh the complex movements with split second precision.

Storytelling: During expressive segments (abhinaya), the instrumentalists alter their pitch and tempo to mirror the dancer's emotions, elevating the narrative from mere movement to living poetry.

This seamless collaboration ensures that no two performances are exactly alike. The music responds to dancer's energy and dancer feeds off the musicians rhythm.

Artist: Witness the breathtaking Pot and Plate Dance, the signature performance of Dr Srishti. She is an exceptional Bharatnatyam dancer with 25 years of experience with 2000 plus performances in India and abroad. She is also a dedicated Paediatrician offering compassionate medical care to children. She has authored "Nritya Margadarshika", she conducts "Body Conditioning" workshops and also contributes to outreach programs through SPIC MACAY.
