In honour of Camilla Wynne's new book launch, Nature's Candy : Timeless and Inventive Recipes for Creating and Baking with Candied Fruit , Drawn and Quarterly's Cookbook Club is organizing a preserve swap. We are very excited to have Camilla join us to discuss her new book and share in the potluck of delicious preserves that were inspired by all three of her books. The event will be held at Espace Drawn and Quarterly (176 Rue Bernard O) on November 10 at 6pm. Her new book can be pre-ordered here (D&Q is offering a 15% discount to all clients until the end of the event): https://mtlshop.drawnandquarterly.com/naturescandy
How to participate:
1- From now until November, grab all of your favourite fruits and veggies as they come into season and turn them into jams, chutneys, jellies or pickles using recipes from any of Camilla's books (all available at the D&Q store and online) .

2- If you want to share what you're making, there is a Facebook Group dedicated to talking about our recipes throughout the process : Drawn and Quarterly Cooks! Cookbook Club
3- On November 10th, show up with a preserve in a small jar to swap and a platter of your preserves to share. Serve them as you see fit : in one of the books' suggested desserts or simply on a cracker or cookie.
At the end of the potluck and discussion, Camilla will be there to sign your books. We will have copies of Nature's Candy at the store on its release date (October 22nd) and of course at the event. You can already pre-order the book here.
Librairie Drawn & Quarterly would like to acknowledge that our events and bookstores are located on the unceded territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka. Many of us refer to Montreal as our home, but it is named Tiohtiá:ke. It has always been a gathering place for many First Nations and continues to be home to a diverse population of Indigenous peoples. We are grateful that creating and sharing stories has been a part of this land for thousands of years.
