Ferd’s Bog Trail begins along Uncas Road between the villages of Raquette Lake and Eagle Bay. The trail is short (0.7 mile one-way) but rich in interest. Ferd’s is best known for its boreal birds, including the Canada jay and boreal chickadee, and its wildflowers. An unhurried, easy ramble will give us a chance to savor the fauna and flora.
