Nature Song
About this Event
Come get outdoors and sing songs celebrating nature!!
We need all the wonder, joy, and pleasure we can get these days folks. And we need each other more than ever! Singing is one fast way into connection with the world around us, ourselves, and each other. Singing in this way fosters a sense of joy in our hearts and aliveness in our beings.
Community Singing is singing for all people, all voices!! No prior singing experince necessary. We'll learn simple songs on-the-spot, call-and-echo, and everyone will walk away with a fun new song or two in their pockets.
This event is family friendly and kids welcome. The singing will be for everyone, not specifically for children. The idea is that the adults sing and kids are welcome to join us or to run and play as kids do.
We will gather under the Ted Lechowicz pavilion on Chicago's northwest side. We will provide snacks and invite you to bring your lunch and stay for a picnic. We welcome you at 10am and singing will be 10:30-11:30 lead by songleader Megan Eberhardt. You can stay as long as you like!
This singing event is organized by songleader Megan Eberhardt and supported by Woodpecker Play, City Kids Chicago Outdoors, and Collecting Rainwater.
Megan Eberhardt currently leads community singing at the Old Town School of Folk Music and with Kinship Community Choir, a community singing choir open to all voices and based out of Lincoln Square. You can find out more about her here: www.rootedinthestars.com
