Nature Pop Art Collaboration Sessions at Powell Park

Artist Allie Wright is sharing her Nature Pop Art skills with Portlanders by offering Kid and Adult Collaboration outdoor painting sessions at Powell Park, Saturday, October 26th! Sessions are open to ALL levels of artistic skill!

Sessions are held in 2-3 hour segments between 10AM and 6PM, so you can still do your soccer games, pumpkin patchin', and other fall activities. Last session will start around 4PM.

Kid Collaborations: these are playful, free-spirited sessions for kids of all ages to explore natural textures through color while painting en Plein Air.

Adult Collaborations: can be more meditative while reflecting on a loss, traumatic experience, or life change. The experience is more emotional, yet cathartic. Adult artists will have the option of listening to music/podcast while painting, or can choose to have a conversational experience. We cannot stress enough how impactful this experience can be.

Each participant will receive a birch canvas board and spend a 2-3 hour session applying paint to objects found in nature such as like bark, moss, lichen, pine needles, pine cones, and any other textural materials. Collaboration includes guidance on composition, touch-ups, and applying epoxy to the piece to seal the objects and adhere them to the birch canvas board. Artwork will be finished and ready to hang within one week. Pick up spot TBD.

Participants can bring their own natural materials from special places around the Portland area or places close to their heart. Paints, brushes, natural objects, and other supplies will be provided.
