Are you looking after your soil so it can look after you?Healthy soil is the foundation of thriving gardens and nutritious food, yet soil health is declining worldwide. Join us at the Port Environment Centre for an evening of creativity, community conversation and hands-on learning with local experts.
Here’s what’s happening:
4:00 – 5:00 pm | Paint a Pot
Start the evening with a creative session led by Bugs n Slugs. Paint your own terracotta pot and take it home to grow something special, the perfect place to use the nutrient-rich compost you’ll learn about later in the evening. All materials are provided.
5:00 – 6:00 pm | Eco Discussion on Community Composting
Join a relaxed community conversation about local composting initiatives happening right here in Semaphore. Hear from volunteers in the Semaphore Compost Network who are collecting food scraps and coffee grounds from local cafés and transforming them into rich, living compost for the community.
