Thousands of people are participating in this global event. Join us in one of the best places to watch birds! Together, we will identify them, count them, and submit our counts to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world.
The guided bird walks will last about two hours for a total distance of around 3/4 of a mile. The trails are natural surface mowed paths over varied terrain and habitats. Dress for the weather and hiking on uneven terrain. No registration is required and all are welcome.
This is the 29th Annual Great Backyard Bird Count – but the first to be hosted by Platte Land Trust, adding the greater Kansas City area to the world map!
