Each month we select a book that inspires, teaches, or entertains us using nature as the theme. January 25, 2026 at 1pm- we will be discussing: Paddling North by Audrey Sutherland.
Paddling North is a memoir by Audrey Sutherland about her solo, summer-long kayak expeditions along Alaska's Inside Passage. The book chronicles her 600-mile journey from Ketchikan to Skagway, detailing her philosophy of "Go simple, go solo, go now". It includes her day-by-day travels, illustrations, and recipes, and is known for its quiet confidence and acute natural observation”
