Eager to learn more about the world around you? Then join us at Polk's Nature Discovery Center on the first Thursday of every month for our 2026-2027 Nature Lecture Series!
From October 2026, through May 2027, Polk's Nature Discovery Center will be hosting a different lecture each month; highlighting an aspect of the natural world.
Join us as Joshua Odom, Polk County's Emergency Management Planner highlights the diverse weather events that occur in Florida and beyond.
This presentation will be held in Polk's Nature Discovery Center's Workshop from 6:00pm-6:45pm with time for questions and answers to follow.

Who should sign up for this? For learners of all ages.
Tickets & Sign-Ups: Tickets are not required, but recommended. Signing up will allow us to know the number of participants planning to attend. If spots are available on the day of the event, spots may be open for other visitors.
1 ticket is needed per person. 1 ticket = 1 person
