Are you looking for a way to add meaningful laboratory instruction and experiential education activities to your science curriculum? Nature Lab is a weekly SOL based science program for homeschool and virtual students taught by a fully licensed teacher in Mill Mountain Park that allows for hands on/minds on weekly science exploration. Ages 8-13.
Students regularly pursue deeper understandings of scientific principles by carrying out investigations, interpreting and analyzing scientific data, playing thematic games, making real-time observations in their journals of natural phenomenon, comparing and contrasting the intricacies of abiotic and biotic ecosystem components while generally exploring the natural beauty in each season of Mill Mountain. Certainly, a side benefit to all of our fun hiking, observing, creating, investigating and sharing is enhanced social emotional well-being and awareness for student participants.
The Fall Semester will run September 3 through December 3, meeting weekly on Wednesdays from 9 AM - 11 AM.
Sign up for the full semester for $128, or individual sessions for $75. Class materials are included in the course fee. Sessions will be:
🟢 Session 1 will be from September 3 to October 8. (Register by 09/02)
🟢 Session 2 will be from October 22 to December 3. There will be a week off the week of Thanksgiving. (Register by 10/21)
