No prior experience is needed, just bring your creativity. Your finished piece will be available for pickup at MHS one week after the class.
Instructor:
Simone Azevedo is a multidisciplinary artist with a strong focus on ceramics. Her ceramic work often incorporates natural elements such as leaves and flowers to create memorable and unique pieces. In addition to ceramics, Simone spends her time exploring embroidery - delving into a variety of colors and patterns, and integrating beads and ceramics into her creations.
Her artistic expression also extends to watercolor painting, where she draws inspiration from the natural world. While she favors abstract compositions, she has been diligently practicing botanical watercolor. Nature has always been a significant source of inspiration for Simone, especially following her BS in Biology. Her work frequently features elements inspired by mushrooms, seashells, flowers, and insects, reflecting her deep appreciation for the natural world. Simone's diverse artistic practices and her passion for nature come together to create pieces that are both beautiful and evocative.
This workshop size is very limited.
