Hey everyone!Thank you for your continued interest in Reiki With Love LLC's outdoor adventures. It's time to slip away from the modern world & find serenity amongst the elements! This month we're going to Island Ford, the headquarters for the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area!!! Expect a slow saunter through the woods with numerous stops for meditation & observation. We'll be slowly hiking along the river until we take the high ground to enter the forest. Along the way we'll admire Mother Nature's rock formations & ponder how life may use them. This is our last hike of the year and we'd like to make it extra special by ending our journey with a RWL-inspired meal by the river.
***This event requires a land access fee, see information below***
There are restrooms!
There are water fountains!
Keep in mind; these events are rain or shine, (with the exception of natural disasters) we'll be enjoying whatever weather Mother Nature has in store for us.
*In the event of a "natural disaster", we'll reschedule for October 24th.*

We'll be meeting in front of the visitor center.

GPS does a great job of getting you to this park which is down a paved road & has a paved parking lot.

LAND ACCESS FEES ARE REQUIRED
EVERY VEHICLE MUST HAVE IT'S OWN PASS- IT’S THE LAW

To obtain an ACCESS Pass:
1. Visit https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm
i. Or go to the Island Ford Visitor Center & purchase in person.
ii. 1978 Island Ford Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30350
2. Determine which pass is best for you.
3. Single day pass for ~$5.00
4. Chattahoochee River annual pass for ~$40.00
- This pass will be used for more of our adventures in the future.
5. "America the Beautiful" annual pass for ~80.00
- This pass will be used for more of our adventures in the future.
6. Be prepared to show your pass using your phone if needed.
If you'd like to join us for a post-hike riverside meal. Feel free to bring your own food but we'd like to share some RWL favorites. Please register for this portion on the RWL site as this will help us keep a head count. We're only mentioning Love Donations (which are always welcome) on this event to help fund the picnic.

October's Adventure:
We'll be keeping it close to the city this time with Island Ford but that'll never stop us from finding a deep connection to NATURE. Our adventure this month will barely scratch the surface of the what is hidden at the headquarters for the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
