Nature Happenings: Community Hike & Trail Run Powered by BLK Beetles x Nike

Since “Adventures Are Better Together”, we are excited to partner with Nike for our Nature Happenings experience on Sunday, February 23rd at Memorial Park! This special guided experience both on and off the nature trail is focused on curating a space where we can feel connected through movement, nature, and storytelling.

Sunday's Experience Outline

1. Welcome and arrival: 9:30am - 9:45am
2. Guided Community Movement: 10:00am - 10:45am
   - Community Hiking Group: 45 mitues of hiking (Guided hiking experience)
   - Community Trail Running Group: 45 mitues of running (Guided hiking experience)
3. Cool Down, Snacks & Reflection: 10:45am - 11:15 am
4. Listening Tour & Facilitated Conversation: 11:15 - 12:15 pm
5. Close Out and Call to Action: 12:15 pm - 12:30 pm

Given the nature of this special partnership with Nike, we are asking community members to:

• Bring your energy, curiosity, and an openness to connect with others and build a sense of belonging.
• Help us protect and honor the trails by leaving no trace and following event guidelines.
• Amplify the impact by sharing your thoughts, photos, or testimonials on social media or with us directly (don’t forget to tag us!).
• After this event, if you loved this special experience, consider supporting future events through a donation, signing up for a paid event, or inviting friends to join the movement.

Waiver of Liability Agreement

“By participating in this Black Beetles (“Organization”) event, the participant (“Participant”): (a) agrees to voluntarily, freely and expressly assume all of the risks associated with his or her participation in all activities associated with this Organization event; (b) agrees to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings and follow any instructions or directions given by the Organization or its agents with respect to his or her participation in this Organization event; (c) warrants that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude his or her participation in this Organization event; and (d) agrees to waive, release, discharge, indemnify, hold harmless and promise not to sue Organization from, against and for any and all claims, damages, expenses and liability associated with his or her participation in this Organization event.”

Photo and Social Media Release Consent

I hereby grant the release permission to use photographs in any of the following:

1. Web-based publications
2. Print Advertisements
3. Social Media

I hereby affirm that such release to the releasee does not constitute any form of compensation, including royalties arising from the photographs, to my benefit.

I understand and agree that photographs in the possession of the releasee shall become the property of the releasee. The use and publication of the photographs however, shall conform to my rights as a subject of said photographs.

I hereby waive my right to inspect of approve the photographs by which my likeness appears.

I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge the from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
