• Create an Animal Camo Craft: Learn how animals use camouflage to blend into their surroundings.
• Seed Grasping Challenge with Beaks: Test different “beak” designs to see which works best for picking up seeds.
• Claws vs. Webbed Feet: Investigate how different types of feet help animals move in their habitats.
• How Baleen Whales Eat Without Teeth: Experiment to understand how these massive creatures filter food from water.
• Storytime Corner: Take a break to enjoy a nature-themed book.
These engaging activities typically take around 45 minutes to complete, so be sure to arrive with enough time to explore all the stations before the event ends at 1 PM!

The Tyrrell Park Nature Center’s Nature Explorers “Come and Go” sessions are FREE and open to the public and will be held at the Tyrrell Park Nature Center, located at 3930 Babe Zaharias Drive in Beaumont in our renovated historic building in the center of Tyrrell Park.
Families can drop in anytime between 10am – 1pm on the selected Saturday dates, to learn interesting facts while having fun, do a “make & take” and explore that month’s nature topic.
The Nature, Science, and Arts Interactives are geared primarily towards children ages 6 to 10 years-old; but All are Welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
