Natural Paint Making- Seashell Palette

Come spend the day with artist Júlia Godoy in her private studio for a hands-on Natural Paint Making- Seashell Palette Class. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own watercolor paint using locally sourced, natural pigments. Júlia will guide you through the traditional process of mulling paint by hand—just like how the Masters did centuries ago.

You'll also get to take home a seashell filled with your handmade watercolor paint as a keepsake. To wrap up the class, Júlia will show you some watercolor painting techniques to help you on your creative journey.

All materials are provided, so just bring your curiosity and an open mind!

This class is suited for adults aged 18 and above, and welcomes participants from all backgrounds. Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes early and keep LA traffic in mind. There is free street parking after 6 pm.

Seashell Palette(foraged locally)

Muller and Mulling Slab

Palette Knife

Watercolor Paper

Watercolor Brush
