This Natural Dyeing Workshop will introduce participants to the wonderful world of creating dyes from plants to use on fabrics and yarnAbout this Event
In this workshop, we will discuss what fibres/materials are suitable for natural dyeing and how to identify them, types of mordant and common plants/kitchen waste which can be used for natural dyeing. We will prepare a dyepot using plant matter, which we will then use to transform our fabric swatches and yarn. Whilst our samples are simmering away, we can have a textiles-related natter over a cup of tea and a biccy!
