Saturday, February 7th - Natsukashii Soul LIVE at The Rosebud // $15 Presale, $20 at the Door / All Ages / Doors 7pm, Show 8pm / Neo-Soul, Acid-Jazz, Funk NATSUKASHII SOUL is a neo-soul and modern jazz quintet based in Eugene, Oregon formed in 2021 led by Autumn Rose Hummel on Vocals, Vincent Panero on keys and guitar, Frank Visconti on trumpet, Greg McKelvey on bass and Paige Iavelli on drums.
Playing a mix of contemporary soul and funk music with jazz standards and originals, the band prioritizes melody and pocket, laying down deep grooves underneath sultry vocals and contemplative trumpet lines. Their new 2025 album “Silvereen”, recorded and mixed at Bespoke Recordings by Randy Brewer and released December 2025, explores their eclectic influences from grunge to bossa nova, while remaining true to their neo-soul and funk roots.
Natsukashii is the Japanese word pointing at the feeling you get when a sense (taste or smell usually) evokes a fond memory from your past. ... But natsukashii – which derives from the verb “natsuku”, which means “to keep close and become fond of” – indicates joy and gratitude for the past rather than a desire to return to it . It's Autumn's favorite word.
