NATIVES In The Park (June 18th Event)
About this Event
About This Event
Hey Fam & Happy Pride 🌈
Join Shared Soil Productions x MOBI for NATIVES In The Park, a community picnic/hangout bringing together the NATIVES cast/crew alongside Queer-BIPOC creatives, artists, storytellers, and community members from across NYC! Come enjoy an afternoon of connection, celebration, and joy this Pride season!
What started as a way for us to celebrate wrapping Episodes 3 & 4 of NATIVES has grown into something bigger: an intentional gathering rooted in community, creativity, and connection. Understanding the business and stress of Pride, we wanted to create a low-stakes event where we can simply be in community together.
Enjoy good vibes, music, games, conversation, laughter, and community with people who understand the importance of creating spaces by us and for us.
Whether you’re a filmmaker, artist, performer, organizer, creative, or simply someone looking for community this Pride season, you are welcome here.
Come through, bring a blanket, bring a friend, bring your full self. 🤎

About NATIVES
NATIVES is an award-winning queer NYC-based dramedy series following a group of unapologetic, queer native New Yorkers navigating adulting in the projects of NYC. The show sheds light on the experience of being a Native New Yorker navigating identity, ambition, friendship, and survival in NYC’s public housing. Through storytelling rooted in authenticity and community, NATIVES aims to amplify voices and experiences often left out of mainstream media while creating intentional spaces for connection both on and off screen.
About MOBI
MOBI is a series of curated social connectivity events for gay and queer people of color to see their holistic self while promoting community, wellness, and personal development.
We achieve this through our signature programming: MOBItalks, a personal and professional development series for Black gay men and MOBIfest, an interactive wellness experience that celebrates Black queer voices in fashion, music, visual arts and media. With a focus on wellness, MOBI connects individuals to opportunities to better themselves before, during, and after our events.
