This free workshop is part of the gallery hours for the Art Takes Root show, hosted by Tempe Leadership Class 41, and presented by Kaci Fankhauuser of the City of Tempe Sustainability Division and Ryan Wood from the Water Conservation team. Please RSVP so we know how many to expect. Who are our native Sonoran Desert pollinators, and how can you become their friend? Buzz on over to Rocket Space in Danelle Plaza on February 20th at 5:30p to learn about all the pollinators we have to thank for our beautiful desert blooms and how anyone can create helpful spaces for these critters to thrive. Plus, we can't talk about our subtropical desert (yes, really!) without talking about rain - learn about the principals of rainwater harvesting and how it supports the whole city, pollinators included.
See below for some of our other gallery hour events:
Sunday, February 15 at 11am: Women4Women Packing Party
Tuesday, February 17 at 530pm: Resiliency Hubs (City of Tempe + Tempe Leadership)
Rocket Space Gallery in Danelle Plaza is run by Tempe Art & Music Coalition (TAMC), a volunteer-run nonprofit focused on making art and music more accessible. The gallery is one of the few incubator spaces in the valley, promoting new and budding artists and encouraging engagement from the community.
