Come gather in community with Mary Standing Bear for an evening of drumming, connection, and reflection.
The deep, steady beat of the drum is traditionally understood in many Native teachings as the heartbeat of Mother Earth. As we drum together, the individual beats become one rhythm- a shared heartbeat that reminds us of our connection to the Earth and to one another.
You do not need to own a drum to participate. Come as you are, listen, feel the rhythm, and join in when you are ready. If you have a drum, bring it along!
This is a drum circle. We will focus on the resonance and rhythm of the drums themselves. Drums only-no other noisemakers or percussion instruments please.
Whether you have drummed for years or have never picked up a drum before, you are welcome to join the circle. Come share the rhythm, connect with community, and spend some time listening to the heartbeat of the Earth Mother.
