About this Event
Learn how to select and grow the perfect native plants for a CA native bird garden with Earl Nickel, the Curious Plantsman. In this talk, you will learn how to pick out the perfect trees, shrubs, perennials, and grasses to create your very own bird oasis that will keep our flying friends happy with flowers, seeds, berries and shelter all year round. Earl is an Oakland-based horticulturist, photographer, and writer. He writes regularly for the San Francisco Chronicle, has written feature articles for Pacific Horticulture magazine, contributes to the Annie’s Annuals blog, and writes his weekly gardening blog; all while maintaining an amazing ‘one-of-everything’ garden.
