Did you know that there are more than 400 bee species native to Virginia? Some, like bumble bees, are huge. Others are almost too small to see! Did you know that bees are beautiful? Bees come in every color of the rainbow from iridescent blue to bright orange. Did you know that most bees will not sting you? This is your chance to peek into the fascinating lives of native bees and learn to identify a few bees you will see in your garden. You’ll also learn about why bees need flowers, why flowers need bees, and what we can all do to help our native bees keep on buzzing.
