Native American Quillwork Demonstration

Before contact with Europeans brought seed beads, Native American art used primarily natural materials like shells, stones, elk ivories, and porcupine quills. Come spend time with Ute/Hopi artist Alan Groves as he demonstrates the art of porcupine quillwork and answers questions about Native American art.
Location: Museum Education Room N276 on 2nd floor of the North Capitol Building at 450 N State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114
Times: Saturday, August 1st, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 2 p.m.–4 p.m.
Cost: Free admission
