National U/13 Camp 2024Dear Provinces
SquashSA is proud to endorse the annual National u13 Camp, which is being hosted by TuksSquash, under the leadership of Level 2 coach - Liz Mackenzie, from 20 - 24 September 2024. This camp forms part of the SquashSA Development Pathway and plays a vital role as we prepare for the 2028 Olympic Games.
The top u13 juniors from your province are invited to be part of this initiative, where they will experience training with other top juniors on a high-performance level and get introduced to Sport
Psychology and Nutrition via the experts at the High Performance Centre. The camp is geared towards primary school players and presented on a level that they can understand and apply. The
camp has had a successful run for almost 20 years with a number of the top players in the national teams having attended in the past. It is marked by many of them as one of their best junior
experiences and the feedback after the camp has been positive. A number of parents have been happy to see a change in their youngsters' attitude and focus on squash - being more purpose driven and more excited to continue with squash into their high school years.
Provincial chairmen are asked to please forward the names and email addresses of the top 3 under 13 girls and boys, so that an invitation can be mailed to them. If there are any other players that you would like to nominate for the camp, please let the organisers know.
