Please Join BCHET as we celebrate National Trails Day 2026! We have coordinated a joint cleanup day with our partners with the USFS for the Flatwoods Rd/ Holston Mtn Road area. The USFS has reached out to Sullivan County Solid Waste who graciously offered to deliver a 40 foot roll-off dumpster to the site. We will meet at the “Crossroads” at 9:00 am and work in all directions removing as much of the trash as we can. Unfortunately, this area is a popular dumping ground and there is a tremendous amount of trash along the roadway. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome. You will need gloves, long pants, and sturdy shoes. If you’ve got grabber reacher tools bring them along. The USFS is providing heavy duty trash bags. Pack a lunch and plenty of water.
