National Trails Day 2026: Trail Work at Paramount Ranch

Work with National Park Service staff and park partners to become trail stewards in the Santa Monica Mountains on Saturday, June 6 from 8:30am to 1pm at Paramount Ranch.

This National Day of Service aims to inspire the community to leave places better than you've found them. Together we can make a lasting impact in creating a safe and accessible outdoors experience for all.

Work with others to do trail work such as brushing or trimming using hand tools, and at the end receive a free lunch and appreciation items!

No experience is needed, training will be provided, and open to all ages.

Be prepared for the day:

Closed-toed shoes, sun protective layers, and a refillable water bottle are required at the event. Long pants, long sleeves, and a hat are strongly encouraged. We will supply tools, gloves, and training.

Take Ventura Freeway (U.S. 101) to Kanan Road exit. South on Kanan 0.5 mile. Left on Cornell Way and veer to the right. South 2.5 miles, entrance is on right side of the road.

Follow the posted signs for parking, check-in will be at the bridge.
