The City of El Centro’s National Senior Citizens Day event, “Around the World,” has been rescheduled to 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., October 11, 2023, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Sports Pavilion, 770 Park Ave., in El Centro.The event will include games, prizes, raffles, exercise classes, dancing, informational booths, and much more, while various cultures worldwide are highlighted.
The City of El Centro, in collaboration with Imperial County’s Public Administrator/Area Agency on Aging, Behavioral Health, Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego, El Centro Regional Medical Center, Calexico Wellness Center, Pacific Southwest Community Development Corporation, and the City of Calexico Housing Authority will be hosting the event in honor of National Senior Citizens Day.
The event was originally scheduled for August 21 but was postponed due to Tropical Storm Hilary.
