National security in the long shadow of 9/11

This program marking the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks will examine the evolution of U.S. foreign policy and national security, exploring how the security landscape and its management have changed over the past quarter century. The panel will discuss current threats and vulnerabilities, assess the effectiveness of government and military responses, examine issues of staffing and preparedness, and consider the current state of intergovernmental coordination.
Panelists will include David Gregory, former moderator of NBC News “Meet the Press;" Peter Berkowitz, State Department director of policy planning in the Trump 45 administration; Eric Edelman, undersecretary of defense for policy in the George W. Bush administration; and Mara Rudman, deputy assistant for national security affairs in the Obama and Clinton administrations.
