National River Cleanup Day hosted by Watershed Watch Campaign

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16th for our first-ever Cleanup & Connect at📍Gill Memorial Park. In partnership with the and the , we’re coming together for more than just a litter pick-up. Come to clean up, enjoy a zero-waste picnic & meet new friends. This is an opportunity for community stewardship, rooted in our shared conviction that “any amount of litter is too much litter.”

This event is also part of a larger network of cleanups happening throughout Santa Clara Valley, all part of National River Cleanup Day. Come be part of the solution to watershed pollution!

✨ Event Highlights:

• Community Action: A collective effort to remove trash in Gill Memorial Park and Berryessa Creek Trail. Supplies will be provided!
• Eco-Education: Learn about watershed protection and stormwater pollution prevention.
• Connection: Post-cleanup social hour to picnic with free lunch, meet neighbors, play games, and win prizes!

👟 What to Bring:

• Closed-toe, sturdy shoes
• Reusable water bottle
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)

✍️ Waivers

• A signed waiver is required for all participants. Waivers will be on-site, to be signed, prior to cleanup.
• Parent/guardian must attend & sign youth waiver. Youth under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent/guardian throughout the event.

💧💙 Who are we?

Watershed Watch is an initiative of the Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program, which is a coalition of local government agencies. Watershed Watch raises awareness about protecting our watersheds from stormwater pollution. Watershed Watch provides free resources to help residents prevent pollution at home and in their communities, which also protects local creeks and the Bay.
