National Public Lands Day: Volunteer Event with the SCA
Join The Student Conservation Association in celebrating National Public Lands Day at Fort Dupont Park in Southeast D.C. The SCA will lead various volunteer activities, including litter abatement, trail maintenance and invasive plant removal. Volunteers will receive a pass for 1 fee-free entry to a National Park upon completion of their volunteer service.
- No experience is needed! Gloves, tools, and light refreshments will be provided. Please arrive on time to hear the safety briefing.
- If you require special accomodations to participate, please let our team know in advance.
- Parking: Please park in the lot in front of the Fort Dupont Activity Center.

About the SCA: The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the largest provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for youth and young adults. Program participants protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks and community green spaces across the country. The SCA is devoted to building equitable access to nature, providing green job opportunities for young people and teaching members how to become environmental stewards.
