National Public Lands Day - Blue Creek Bay Amphitheater and Fuel Piles

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Coeur d’Alene Field Office is seeking volunteers to refurbish the amphitheater area and amenities, fuel debris piling, and minor trail work to the amphitheater from the parking lot area. This will be a one-day event welcomed to public participates. Participants are asked to park at the Blue Creek Trailhead parking lot adjacent to the project area.
Snacks and drinking water will be on hand provided by the BLM.
National Public Lands Day tee shirts will be distributed.
Be prepared for inclement weather conditions. Bring work gloves, closed toed shoes, long sleeve shirt, eye protection, and plenty of drinking water. If participants have forgotten, BLM will disseminate the appropriate PPE (gloves and hand sanitizer).
Parking space is limited. Please carpool. BLM will have the needed hand tools. Safety briefing and project layout begins at 9:30.
Directions:
Follow Interstate 90 east from Coeur d Alene for eight miles to the Wolf Lodge Bay exit (Exit 22), then turn north and follow the Yellowstone Trail Road for about two miles. The Blue Creek Bay trailhead parking area will be on the right-hand side of the road.
Continue another 1/2 mile and turn left on South Landing Road for the day use picnic area.
