Free, family friendly event at Homestead's Education Center!At 10 am, Woodland Ecologist Chance Brueggemann will lead a mushroom walk. Brueggemann works for the Northern Prairies Land Trust in partnership with Nebraska Game and Parks and is a driving force in the nebraskamushrooms.org online mushroom guide.

National Public Lands Day participants are encouraged to look for, photograph, and record critters they encounter during their visit. Data will be collected on iNaturalist, but visitors do not need a device to participate; no experience is needed, and everyone is welcome.
BioBlitz participants will receive a coupon providing free access to federal lands that charge an entrance fee.
