What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual nationwide campaign focused on strengthening the partnership between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Founded in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), the event has grown from neighbors gathering on their front porches into one of America's largest community celebrations, with more than 38 million people participating in thousands of communities each year.
The evening promotes neighborhood safety, crime prevention, community engagement, and the relationships that help make our communities stronger and safer.
We'll See You There!
Come spend the evening with your local deputies, firefighters, EMS personnel, and community partners while enjoying one of Frederick County's favorite family events.
Be sure to stop by and say hello to the teams from 99.9 WFRE and 930 WFMD, who will both be broadcasting LIVE from 4:00–7:00 PM, sharing all the sights, sounds, and stories from National Night Out 2026.
