A truly excellent day out, one to be remembered when we are wearing our red poppies in November. The National Memorial Arboretum welcomes 300,000 each year to visit the 400 memorials situated in a 30,000 tree arboretum and in October displaying their beautiful autumnal colours. Take the 55 mins little train tour and listen to the stories behind the memorials. Cost £7. There are guided walking tours £4 with very knowledgeable volunteers, buggy train tours £7, free talks about the memorials and the stories behind them, and exhibitions. So much to discover and do making it an excellent day out. Easy walking paths and there are individual buggies to be hired in advance £10 ask Trish for more details. A lovely very nice cafe and coffee shop onsite too and a gift shop.
