National Meadows Day - Wildflower & Scything workshop at Haddo House
Advertisement
Celebrate National Meadow Day & get your hands dirty learning to scythe and discover the beauty of wildflowers!
Join us for National Meadow Day where you can take part in one of two hands-on activities supporting traditional meadow management and biodiversity.
🚫 Please note: you must choose either scything or wildflowers when booking – it is not possible to do both at this event.
Choose your activity:
Scything:
Work alongside experienced practitioners to learn how to use a scythe safely and effectively, helping to clear vegetation and create space for new growth as part of long-term site management.
Wildflowers:
Focus on growing wildflowers, including seed collecting, germination techniques, and potting, learning practical skills to support pollinators and habitats.
This event offers a great opportunity to connect with nature, build conservation skills, and learn more about local flora and fauna. The session is delivered in collaboration with Outdoor & Woodland Learning Scotland, Curam Fyvie, and the Haddo House team.
The exact location will be shared closer to the date. Spaces are limited and booking is essential, so please make sure you select the correct ticket for the activity you wish to take part in.
No prior experience is required. Just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for outdoor work.
Come and enjoy a rewarding day outdoors, working together to support nature and biodiversity. We look forward to seeing you there 🌿
