Served over shaved ice and garnished with lime and mint, the result was unforgettable.
Legend has it a guest exclaimed “Mai Tai-Roa Aé!”—Tahitian for “the best”—after the first sip. The name stuck, and the Mai Tai quickly rose to fame as a tropical favorite known for its vibrant flavor and carefree spirit.
