We Thought We Knew Collectively Where We Were Going – Work-In-Progress Sharing
About this Event

We Thought We Knew Collectively Where We Were Going is an artistic research project under the National Library Creative Residency about the relationship between happiness and the prevailing economic system at different points of time. Diving into individual, family and social narratives about happiness, the project hopes to investigate how they influence the values and sense of happiness for people from three different generations.

In this session, creators Han Xuemei, Myra Loke and Tan Wei Ting share their discoveries of how different generations relate to happiness through a work-in-progress installation and a dialogue session.

  • This work-in-progress sharing is a free programme. The capacity is limited at 10 pax. Please register with consideration, and inform the organizer if you are unable to turn up a day before.
  • The venue has no lift and requires climbing of steps.
  • Removal of shoes will be required before entering the space.

Myra Loke is a director, puppeteer, designer and educator. She is part of the core team of The Finger Players, one of Singapore’s leading theatre companies, specialising in puppetry. Myra led the company as co-Artistic Director from 2020 to 2023. Myra also co-founded The Wanderlings, engaging the neurodiverse community, from ages 0 and up.
