Also, channel your inner paleontologist in our hands-on DIY fossil excavation activity!
9:00 AM - GULF STATE PARK HISTORY HIKE. Discover the history of Gulf State Park from the Indigenous peoples and European settlers to the Civilian Conservation Corps and the impact they had. 2:30 PM - DIY FOSSIL EXCAVATION ($20/participant*). Learn all about Paleontologists and Archeologists, what they do, and how to be one! After the short lesson, you will have the opportunity to participate in your very own Paleo-tastic excavation, identify what you've found, and take it home to show your friends!
