National Drug Take Back Day

SAVE THE DATESaturday, April 26th is the first Drug Take Back Day of 2025. The EMPD will be setting up a collection site in City Hall parking lot from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (10000 N El Mirage Rd, El Mirage, AZ 85335).
We will collect tablets, capsules, patches, other prescription drugs, and liquid products like cough syrup, which should be sealed in their original container. We will continue to accept vaping devices and cartridges, provided lithium batteries are removed, but we will NOT accept syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs.
These events are extremely helpful around the nation in reducing the large number of excess medications from falling into the wrong hands.
Below are the statistics from participating agencies in the two events of 2024. The numbers speak for themselves.
