National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with UWCA
Join us on September 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM (Mountain Daylight Time) for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event hosted by UWCA. This in-person gathering will take place at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.
The event offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on and honor the experiences of Indigenous peoples, fostering awareness and understanding within the community.
We have the pleasure of wittinessing New Blood Performance Featuring poetry, music, contemporary and traditional dance, the show is inspired by the life of Chief Vincent Yellow Old Woman and his experience as a child in residential school, how he reclaimed his way of life and became chief of his people.
Afterwards there will be a question and answer period with the ferformers and then a sharing circle to follow to further disscuss our take aways from the day.
