National Coalition of 100 Black Women, LI Black and White Candlelight Ball

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Long Island Chapter Inc. (NCBW100LI) is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, incorporated in 1982. For more than three decades the Black and White Candlelight Ball has served as our signature event raising more than $150,000 in college scholarships funds for women of African descent and recognizing the outstanding achievements of African Americans. We provide a number of programs in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment. We also stand as role models for our impressionable youth, inspiring them to achieve their personal goals and to embrace civic engagement through our Youth Initiatives. We work as advocates to “Educate, Engage, Empower and Enact,” on behalf of women of African descent and the Long Island community.
