Republicans in Congress continue to push legislation that threatens clean energy, sells off public lands, and puts polluters above the law. Community members in La Crosse care about the environment and want to make it clear that selling our future to help the rich get richer is NOT what voters want.
At 10am on Saturday, Sept 20, community members are coming together at Black River Beach (1433 Rose St) to launch a litter cleanup along the river and walking trails in La Crosse. We're doing our part to take care of one of our most precious and beautiful resources - our community.
At 12pm, we will meet together at the Root Note (115 4th St S) for coffee and an informal conversation about upcoming funding fights in Congress and the opportunity we have to restore the devastating cuts that are hurting Wisconsin communities.
