The Clubhouse, in partnership with Half Liter BBQ & Beer Hall, invites the community to celebrate National Chili Dog Day with a Chili Dog Celebration on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 6 to 8:30 p.m in Half Liter’s indoor event space and bar.
The event will bring together some of the neighborhood’s favorite restaurants for an evening of chili tasting, friendly competition, and community fun. Guests will sample chili from Turner’s, Yats, Corridor, Mamacita, Chilly Water, Big Lug Canteen, Sam’s Square Pie, Weiner Dreams, Old Major Market, and Half Liter, with all hot dogs and buns provided by The Clubhouse. After tasting each chili, attendees will cast their vote to crown the People’s Choice Best Chili winner. The winning restaurant will earn bragging rights as the chili everyone wants on their hot dog for the evening.
Early admission is $25. Day of admission is $35 at the door. Ticket includes event entry, complimentary chili dog samples from participating restaurants, and one beverage. Tickets will be sold through Eventbrite and a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door.
In addition to the chili competition, local hot dog enthusiast Matt Canavan, better known as Only Franks, will serve as host and MC for the evening. At 7 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to compete in a stadium hot dog call competition. Anyone who thinks they have the best ballpark-style vendor call is encouraged to participate. The crowd will vote for their favorite performance, and the winner will receive a gift card to The Clubhouse.
